Have you seen Korea’s Madonna? That’s right. South Korean actress and singer Uhm Jung Hwa has been nicknamed Korea’s Madonna.

Jung Hwa first appeared in the entertainment industry in 1989 as a part of MBC’s Choir. In 1993 she came out with her first album, “Sorrowful Secret,” and appeared in the movie “On a Windy Day We Must Go to Apgujeong.” Jung Hwa constantly shows her versatility in the entertainment industry with her performances in “Marriage Is a Crazy Thing” (2002), “Princess Aurora” and “All for Love,” (2005) and “Seducing Mr. Perfect” (2006). She even released two Chinese albums in 2006. Jung Hwa also appeared in several television series: “Wife” (2003); “Tropical Nights in December” (2004); and “Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung” (2007).

Jung Hwa’s versatility continues outside the entertainment industry. In April Jung Hwa collaborated with GS Retail and created Uhm Jung Hwa Jeans. This venture follows her previous launch of a lingerie line. In September 2007 she started Corner Suite, and the online brand Zuhm in New York.

On July 1st the 38-year-old released mini-album “D.I.S.C.O.” Make sure to check out the six songs as she enlisted the help of Big Bang members G-Dragon and T.O.P!

Kim Tae Hee is a South Korean actress who gained popularity with her performance in the 2003 hit series “Stairway to Heaven.” In her next role in “Forbidden Love” Tae Hee won a New Actress Award for her portrayal as a Nine-Tailed Fox warrior. Her last television series was the 2005 hit “Love Story in Harvard.” She has appeared in a handful of movies, the latest one “Venus and Mars” (2007).

What most people are not aware of is Tae Hee’s attendance at one of Korea’s most prestigious schools. Tae Hee graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor degree in fashion designing. She also has a younger brother, Lee Wan, who is becoming a dominant figure in the entertainment industry.

Though she hasn’t had any recent activity in movies or dramas Tae Hee is a popular CF actress and model. She can be seen in ads for Cyon LG, Hera, S-Oil and Ohui. Tae Hee has also participated in recent events such as the Pink Ribbon Marathon in April and Andre Kim’s UNICEF charity fashion show.
