The talented Song Hye Kyo recently played the title role in the Korean film “Hwang JinYi.” Her acclaimed performance as the famous Joseon-era female entertainer helped Hye Kyo garner a New Best Actress award at the 6th Korea Film Awards.

In late 2008, Hye Kyo will appear beside the ladies’ man Hyun Bin in a Korean drama titled “The World That They Live In.” It will be Hye Kyo’s first drama appearance since 2004, when she acted alongside Rain (Bi) in “Full House.” Hye Kyo won an Excellence Award for her performance and the drama boosted her popularity in other countries.

Along with the other South Korean stars who are breaking into the U.S film industry, Hye Kyo appeared in U.S Indie film “Fetish,” where she played a woman with supernatural abilities. Hye Kyo is also set to star in John Woo’s next movie “1949.” The romantic film will be her Chinese debut.

John Woo is the director of several Hollywood films such as “Face Off,” “Mission Impossible II” and “Windtalkers.” His latest film, “Red Cliff,” received a warm welcome in Asian theaters. It’s date for U.S release is still unknown.

Hye Kyo has recently replaced Jun Ji Hyun to become the new spokeswoman for cosmetics brand Laneige. With her busy schedule Hye Kyo still looks gorgeous.
