for everyone on the constant Rain-dar, Rain was at Comic-con this past weekend (in sunny San Deigo, CA, USA).

Kim Tae Hee is a South Korean actress who gained popularity with her performance in the 2003 hit series “Stairway to Heaven.” In her next role in “Forbidden Love” Tae Hee won a New Actress Award for her portrayal as a Nine-Tailed Fox warrior. Her last television series was the 2005 hit “Love Story in Harvard.” She has appeared in a handful of movies, the latest one “Venus and Mars” (2007).

What most people are not aware of is Tae Hee’s attendance at one of Korea’s most prestigious schools. Tae Hee graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor degree in fashion designing. She also has a younger brother, Lee Wan, who is becoming a dominant figure in the entertainment industry.

Though she hasn’t had any recent activity in movies or dramas Tae Hee is a popular CF actress and model. She can be seen in ads for Cyon LG, Hera, S-Oil and Ohui. Tae Hee has also participated in recent events such as the Pink Ribbon Marathon in April and Andre Kim’s UNICEF charity fashion show.

Thanks to everyone who said Hi to me at Comic-con and took one of the ultra-cute buttons I was handing out!

Here’s a quick interview I had with the very sweet and adorable Lela Lee, writer/illustrator of the “Angry Little Girls” series.

G: When did you first start drawing “Angry Little Girls”?

L: In 1994, I was a sophomore at UC Berkeley.

G: What is your inspiration for the girls?

L: People I knew and personalities that I thought would mesh well together.

G: Can you tell me about each of the girls (the characters)?

L: Kim is the angry little Asian girl who has an on-and-off relationship with her boyfriend Bruce. Deborah is the disenchanted princess - everything is perfect for her but she’s not interested. Maria is the crazy little Latina who’s a bit new-agey. Wanda is the fresh little soul sister who volunteers, eats healthy, works out and generally a pain to the rest of us [laughs]. Xyla is the gloomy girl.

G: Cool! Since we’re at Comic-con, can you tell me your favorite comic book characters?

L: Sure! I love Peanuts, Jules Phieffer and Meg Rainy (Life is Hell).

With his one-year absence after his movie “M,” Kang Dong Won will return in 2009 with a new movie.

The model turned actor made his 2003 television debut in “Country Princess” but it wasn’t until “One Percent of Anything” that he gained popularity. And in 2004 he hit theaters in “Too Beautiful to Lie” and “Temptation of Wolves,” the latter his real breakthrough. In 2005 he starred in “Duelist” and in 2007 he was in the romance thriller “M.”

Ladies - he’s got a present for you!

Dong Won has won several Most Popular Actor awards, for “Temptation of Wolves” and “Duelist,” but is yet to win Best Actor. He’ll have a chance with his new movie, which begins filming in August. Dong Won will play the title role in “The Story of Jeon Woo Chi,” a movie about a man reborn after 500 years. However, he’s captured in a portrait and must find a magical musical instrument in order to be freed.
